Decades-old native trees and palms have been conserved and are included as part of the overall design of this very private resort residence. Be enthralled by the tropical forests across the river and the magical walks that can be taken through nearby villages and amazing rice fields - with Bali's extraordinary mountains towering in the background. Expect not to be disturbed by the sound of traffic, but by the laughter of villagers in pinks, blues and oranges, picking through the emerald countryside.

The Villa
A contemporary interpretation of traditional Balinese architecture is artfully combined with modern amenities to create a relaxed environment in harmony with its natural surroundings.

The villa has a swimming pool on the middle level and a triple spa pool at river level. Bedroom 5 has its own plunge pool.

From the impressive main entry stairs there is access to a spacious dining pavilion. It features a high thatched ceiling, a large round teak table - seating ten to twelve - with stunning views over the river and pool below. An adjoining fully-equipped European-style kitchen can cater for every need and includes a comprehensive East meets West menu. Three of the expansive air-conditioned king bedrooms are accessed via romantic pathways leading from the dining pavilion. The fifth king bedroom is at entry level above the dining pavilion with its own decked plunge pool.

White walls and their dark wood trim enhance the villa's cream terrazzo floors, juxtaposed against the greenery of the tropical plants located throughout the property. High ceilings in the open pavilions add another dimension of spaciousness, with overhead fans for added ventilation. All bedrooms, gracious in proportion, have king-size beds with draped mosquito net canopies, air conditioners, overhead fans, luxury Bvlgari products, European tapware, imported mattresses, pure white cotton sheets, thick white cotton towels, four enormous king pillows per bed (including feather) and fragrant tuberoses. Beautiful antique furniture and carved wooden architectural features add to the ambience of the elegant interiors. From each of the king bedrooms, glass panelled doors open onto private terraces overlooking the garden and pool areas.

A large informal lounge bale (Balinese gazebo) overlooks the pool and river, making the ideal spot for afternoon drinks and quiet repose. The sound of slow flowing water from the river below and the dancing of bamboo in the breeze provide a natural serenade.

The staff at Villa Kembali are there to pamper and please. They include a manager who will help you plan and make your bookings; your driver can take you wherever you choose, whatever the time of day or night. The staff will tend to your every need, bringing you drinks by the pool, attending to your laundry (this is included in the tariff), organising river-side massages, arranging all your meals if you choose. Delicious meals are prepared by the chef and her staff from ingredients purchased for you at cost (full tropical and cooked breakfasts are included in the tariff). Unlike many villas, guests do not have to prepare their own meals. Also unlike most private villas, well-priced local, French and Australian wines, local beers, mixers and wonderful cocktails are all made available. BYO spirits and wines are welcomed at the bar, and yet bar service is available at all times. The chef is available full-time, and not just on call.

In keeping with the highest international standards, rooms are serviced twice daily, with turn-down every evening, when fresh towels and bottled water are also replenished. Amenities you will find in your room include hairdryers, make-up mirrors, sarongs for use poolside, slippers, and luxury BVLGARI soaps, shampoos, conditioners and shower caps.

The villa's satellite TV helps guests to stay connected with the outside world - but only if they choose, and as such is not made available in bedrooms.

Location
Villa Kembali's private little world of tranquillity and indulgence lies in the midst of the traditional village of Cepaka. Village and villa are set, jewel-like, in a dramatic setting of the volcanoes of Bali, with emerald terraces of rice, tropical forests and ancient temples all around.
Cepaka lies safely beyond the urban sprawl which has overrun Kuta Beach and Seminyak - yet it is still close to Bali's fabled attractions, including its diverse and vibrant night-life. Popular tourist destinations like Kintamani, Tanah Lot and Ubud are easily reached.

The villa sits above a tributary of the famous Ayang River on the south-western coast of Bali. North of Legian and Seminyak, it is just twenty minutes drive from the buzz of Bali, past verdant terraced rice fields and spectacular scenery. Just 15 minutes east from the Le Meridien Nirwana Golf and Spa Resort at Tanah Lot, or the nearest beach; 35 minutes to Ubud and 35-40 minutes from the airport.
